In the 4th minute of the match Júnior Tinoco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ediberto Lopes skillfully saved the ball. In the 12th match minute, SC SHOWRINTHIANS PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Cruz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Almecegas AD's Armando Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Armando Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ediberto Lopes was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Carlos Alberto Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC SHOWRINTHIANS PAULISTA's Pedrão de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almecegas AD's Kiko Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Nunes in the 36th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Lopes having to interfere. Cristian Vianna took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ediberto Lopes. Ediberto Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Alberto Nunes to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cristian Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almecegas AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flavinho Bastos hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Pedrão de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Lopes having to interfere. Ediberto Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Garcia in the 66th minute. Armando Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ediberto Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Eduardo Ramalho during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Alberto Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. SC SHOWRINTHIANS PAULISTA's Carlos Alberto Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrão de Carvalho in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Almecegas AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
