Lobao SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Franklin Furlan scored to the left of an out of position Valdomiro Travassos, making the score, 2-0. Franklin Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdomiro Travassos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Rodolfo Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After 53 played minutes, Argerita's Sérgio Magalhães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdomiro Travassos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Argerita reached it.
