Red Hawks's Diguinho Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Red Hawks from getting a goal against them. Red Hawks's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Henrique Domingues scored to the left of an out of position Diguinho Veloso, making the score, 1-0. Oswaldo Paraibano hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Alfredão Miranda's late challenge caught a Red Hawks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredão Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Trumpho's Alfredão Miranda got a free kick in the 29th minute. Diguinho Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gabriel Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Diguinho Veloso managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Trumpho's Alfredão Miranda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredão Miranda got free with Diguinho Veloso in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 2-0 became the score in the 40th minute when Henrique Domingues elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gernando Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Gernando Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Damião in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Trumpho's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Neto came free, but Gernando Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Castro hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Red Hawks's zone, Henrique Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Veloso came out of the goal and Henrique Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, Alfredão Miranda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diguinho Veloso. Red Hawks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredão Miranda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 87 played minutes Trumpho got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Costa. A collision led to Trumpho getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Gualter Abraão hit a great ball. Trumpho walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
