Diamantino Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ediberto Travassos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diamantino Fernandes. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. If Ediberto Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Percy Prestes made a kick off. Diguinho Veloso made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Percy Prestes sent off a good shot on target. Diamantino Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Fernando Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diguinho Veloso having to interfere. With a little luck, Red Hawks's Diguinho Veloso got control of the ball when Rubens Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diamantino Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Red Hawks fully deserved thier win.
