Rafa Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Leme in the 16th minute of play. Ulysses Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rafa Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Kléber Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasconcellos AD and the Paulistano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kléber Cerezo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Rafa Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Alex Matos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ramiro Loureiro made a huge save. Alex Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Loureiro having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Vasconcellos AD's Franklin Brodel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Franklin Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Franklin Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauã Quadros was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Franklin Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasconcellos AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franklin Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Vasconcellos AD's Alex Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Ramiro Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Brodel in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Alex Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasconcellos AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Matos in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franklin Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Loureiro having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Vasconcellos AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Matos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Matos in the 81st minute of play forced Paulistano FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda Queiroz during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
