The audience was convinced that Umberto Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino da Cunha was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 9th minute, Umberto Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reginaldo Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 minutes, Charles Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goianesia and the northingham wolves fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Goianesia's Charles Branco got a free kick in the 15th minute. northingham wolves fc's Severino da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Neves in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betinho Dionísio during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Sarmento in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Umberto Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Severino da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29thth minute of the game Reginaldo Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but northingham wolves fc's Severino da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Betinho Dionísio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. northingham wolves fc's Betinho Dionísio got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Betinho Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Mané Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goianesia's Alan Godoi got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Alan Godoi off the ground. In the 43rd minute, Alan Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Ramalho was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Giuseppe Brodel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Giuseppe Brodel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Reginaldo Sarmento made the kick off in the second half. Charles Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino da Cunha having to interfere. If Betinho Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Reginaldo Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reginaldo Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino da Cunha having to interfere. Giuseppe Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. northingham wolves fc had played much better football throughout.
