The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cesinha Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Severino da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Cesinha Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cesinha Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino da Cunha having to interfere. A collision led to Cassiano getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Norberto Guedes hit a great ball. When Giuseppe Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored northingham wolves fc's protests and gave Giuseppe Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Cauan Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesinha Batista in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of northingham wolves fc booed when Cassiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Cesinha Batista reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Severino da Cunha. The goal made the score 1-0. Luizinho Vinhas came free in the 43rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Rafa Guedes, but to the joy of Cassiano's supporters the ball went over. Luisão Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafa Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisão Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. Luizinho Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cassiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave northingham wolves fc the free kick. Cassiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesinha Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesinha Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesinha Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute, Betinho Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino da Cunha came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Cassiano's Cesinha Batista. But to his dismay, Cesinha Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Luizinho Vinhas missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 89 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rafa Guedes right hand side. After 92 minutes, Cesinha Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cassiano and the northingham wolves fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Cesinha Batista came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Cassiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesinha Batista couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cassiano fans cheered their team off the field, for while northingham wolves fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
