In the 12th minute, one of Manica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manica. Manica:s Albertinho Andrade showed great skill when he stopped Clóvis Santos:s penalty. Albertinho Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clóvis Santos went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Tião Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GladiadoresFC's Diamantino Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Eger in the 20th minute of play. Albertinho Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tião Pombal struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Albertinho Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GladiadoresFC. In the 28th minute of the match Arnaldo Capixaba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Carvalho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Manica's zone, Tião Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Andrade came out of the goal and Tião Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Branco in the 37th minute of play forced GladiadoresFC's goalkeeper Diamantino Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dorian Eger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Carvalho was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Eger in the 47th minute of play forced GladiadoresFC's goalkeeper Diamantino Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 49 minutes GladiadoresFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emerson Guerra who took care of the corner kick. If Dorian Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorian Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorian Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sérgio Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dorian Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Manica's João Vítor Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diamantino Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute Gildo Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gildo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Gildo Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GladiadoresFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute João Vítor Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes GladiadoresFC got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Batista. 76 minutes into the match, Manica's Emerson Guerra broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dorian Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Diamantino Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noel Rocha in the 80th minute. Manica's João Vítor Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Cícero Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GladiadoresFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manica the free kick. In the 87th minute, Cícero Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorian Eger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Carvalho having to make a save. Dorian Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Diamantino Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorian Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Carvalho having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, GladiadoresFC's goalkeeper Diamantino Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Vítor Bezerra. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. GladiadoresFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Manica for much of the match.
