The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rui Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osmar Nunes's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Rui Couto made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Osmar Nunes sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Capa's Fabrício Aguiar got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Kléber Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Britto having to interfere. With a little luck, Capa's Rui Couto got control of the ball when Kléber Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rui Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapiraipe's goalkeeper Ruy Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rui Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Capa's goalkeeper Rui Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kléber Teixeira. After 43 minutes of play, Capa's Edgar Vinhas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Britto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sandro Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Britto having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Vinhas was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Kléber Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capa's Rui Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Tapiraipe booed when Capa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Kléber Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapiraipe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Nunes in the 68th minute of play. Fabrício Aguiar hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Kléber Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capa's Rui Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Kléber Teixeira sped through Capa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rui Couto. Rui Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Nunes in the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Osmar Nunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Couto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 96th minute Kléber Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapiraipe's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
