Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Muriaé FC's Cléberson Pimenta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Besta Enjaulada MZC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Machado. João de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jarbas Soares made a huge save. In the 21st minute Cléberson Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Muriaé FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Campidelis came free, but João de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Muriaé FC defense, Mathias Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João de Godoi. The Muriaé FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João de Godoi should have stopped the shot. Cléberson Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jarbas Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

João de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 62nd minute, Cléberson Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarbas Soares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cléberson Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jarbas Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafim Queiroz hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes, Enio Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muriaé FC and the Besta Enjaulada MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Besta Enjaulada MZC booed when Muriaé FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cássio Machado came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Besta Enjaulada MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Machado couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Soares having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Besta Enjaulada MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Perez came free, but Jarbas Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Besta Enjaulada MZC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrão Pombal during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Muriaé FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Besta Enjaulada MZC for a fine match.
