Dedé Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muriaé FC. Wesley Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Muriaé FC's Cléberson Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, one of Muriaé FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Muriaé FC. In the 29th minute Arnaldo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Muriaé FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Sanches hit a great ball. When Mocidade Alegre's Arnaldo Carvalho in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muriaé FC's goalie prevented a goal. Vítor Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dedé Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Pimenta in the 47th minute of play. With his leg Dedé Marques managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Muriaé FC's Rodrigo Perez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Muriaé FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mocidade Alegre were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cléberson Pimenta to strike the kick off in the second half. João de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Rodrigo Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dedé Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muriaé FC's João de Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Muriaé FC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Rodrigo Perez made a precise shot to the right of Dedé Marques. Mocidade Alegre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Dedé Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cléberson Pimenta went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. João de Godoi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bebeto Passos. If Vítor Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, one of Mocidade Alegre:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mocidade Alegre. Dedé Marques had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Serafim Queiroz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Cléberson Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Marques having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Mocidade Alegre's Arnaldo Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João de Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 88 played minutes Vítor Vergílio rounded Muriaé FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. Dedé Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Mocidade Alegre's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Perez came free, but Dedé Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muriaé FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mocidade Alegre for a fine match.
