Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dito Peixoto started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká da Silveira got free with Artur Dias in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Niterói FC's Virgílio Lira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Vinícius Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Luís Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 20 in the game by Kaká da Silveira from a close distance when the talented Artur Dias managed to make a qualified save. Niterói FC's players were relieved. Luís Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matías Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matías Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Matías Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kaká da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Peixoto came free, but Artur Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Urandi booed when Niterói FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urandi were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Niterói FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudinei Saldanha took the corner. The corner led Urandi's Claudinei Saldanha to fire away a dangerous shot which Artur Dias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute, João Carlos Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arí Dracena was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Dito Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká da Silveira in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Artur Dias, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Vinícius Salgado made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Urandi booed when Niterói FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Jonas Braga put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Luz. In the 60th minute of the match, Jonas Braga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luís Luz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 64 minutes, Jonas Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niterói FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dito Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká da Silveira in the 80th minute of play. Urandi's Kaká da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinei Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Urandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's Jonas Braga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Luz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Artur Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká da Silveira in the 88th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
