Doriva Trevisan's late challenge caught a Expressinho Tricolor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doriva Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, one of SOE FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SOE FC. The referee gave Expressinho Tricolor a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by César de Sousa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SOE FC's Rafael Gomes. 3-0. After a rather tough play, Expressinho Tricolor's Sílvio Luís Martins got a free kick in the 99th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maicon Quintal got free with Dráusio Senna in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SOE FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
