After 36 minutes, Gino Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Preguica and the Ipiiba SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Preguica's Gino Queirós got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Preguica's Gino Queirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guilherme Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gino Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Wiliam Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás de Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Preguica's Gino Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Wiliam Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipiiba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiliam Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás de Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Yuri Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Preguica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. When Yuri Gaspar got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Preguica. Preguica's Sílvio Tróia suffered a concussion after 90 minutes and had to leave the field. After 90 minutes, Arnaldo Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipiiba SC and the Preguica players grew even worse after the yellow card.
