Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Róbson Marques kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Cova EC's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Capixaba came free, but Mané Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 6 played minutes Cova EC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Mello. Régis Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 15th minute of the match Eusébio Magalhães sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mané Rossi skillfully saved the ball. Mané Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Britto in the 17th minute of play. Laerte Britto scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mané Rossi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juvenal Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelson Cerezo in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Feirinha got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Barbosa. Róbson Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Soares having to interfere. Nelson Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Juvenal Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laerte Britto was the one to do the kick off. Juvenal Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Róbson Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis Godoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Mané Rossi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Frederico Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Feirinha got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Barral. Cova EC's Nelson Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Régis Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Mané Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Nelson Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cova EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Róbson Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Juvenal Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Frederico Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Rossi having to interfere. Hugo Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Nelson Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cova EC's zone, Laerte Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Rossi came out of the goal and Laerte Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Feirinha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
