Giuseppe Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Vergílio in the 21st minute of the match. Galácticos Futebol Clube's Giuseppe Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Vergílio in the 26th minute of play. Mazinho Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Cerezo having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilvan Sanches was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of DIAMONDS booed when Galácticos Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Adilson Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute Gilvan Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Mazinho Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giuseppe Cerezo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. DIAMONDS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Galácticos Futebol Clube had controlled the match.
