Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luisinho Garcia started the match with the kick off. If Fernandinho Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Régis Brodel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Cardoso in the 10th minute. Fernandinho Pitta might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernandinho Pitta ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valério Nunes in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio Duarte saved Taparuba from getting behind. Fernandão de Castro scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hermínio Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antônio Carlos Cardoso took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Régis Brodel. Régis Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valério Nunes in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermínio Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernandinho Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Costa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Pitta notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Taparuba's Hermínio Duarte. Hermínio Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valério Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Valério Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fernandão de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeu Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Hermínio Duarte was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Valério Nunes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valério Nunes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Hermínio Duarte was a little too slow when Valério Nunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-4. Régis Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Garcia in the 75th minute of the match. When Valério Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Pacia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Nunes couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Pitta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermínio Duarte. Taparuba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandinho Pitta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. If Valério Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Taparuba's goalkeeper Hermínio Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernandinho Pitta. Pacia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
