Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mário Paraíba got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes of play, S.C.INTERNACIONAL's Alessandro Amaral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedito Prata was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 15 minutes Caria SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Walmyr Fontes who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Gaute Vesanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C.INTERNACIONAL's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaute Vesanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernani Bezerra hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Flavinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Marquez having to interfere. Alessandro Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Benedito Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C.INTERNACIONAL's Bernardo Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save S.C.INTERNACIONAL from getting a goal against them. After having played for 39 minutes, Alessandro Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C.INTERNACIONAL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alessandro Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the S.C.INTERNACIONAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Amaral couldn't finish the play. Gaute Vesanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Caria SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Amaral came free, but Benedito Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Toninho Cavalcante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C.INTERNACIONAL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caria SC the free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Amaral to strike the kick off in the second half. Cléber Senna's late challenge caught a S.C.INTERNACIONAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléber Senna helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caria SC's Cléber Senna got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Amaral got free with Benedito Prata in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alessandro Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Caria SC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Virgílio Domingues hit a great ball. S.C.INTERNACIONAL's Alessandro Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Amaral struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Benedito Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C.INTERNACIONAL. Gaute Vesanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Caria SC defense, Walmyr Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedito Prata. The Caria SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedito Prata should have stopped the shot. Alessandro Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Benedito Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Caria SC's Benedito Prata got control of the ball when Gaute Vesanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedito Prata made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Walmyr Fontes sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Marcelinho Gaúcho made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Marquez. S.C.INTERNACIONAL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ernani Bezerra hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Caria SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.C.INTERNACIONAL were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
