Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Bernardo Maia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fábio Gerber during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6th play minutes Bernardo Maia shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Tiago Ferreira and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Arcangelo getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Genílson Favoretto hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Aníbal Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Gomes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Josué Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Gerber in the 24th minute of play forced Meridiano SC's goalkeeper Josué Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Meridiano SC's goalkeeper Josué Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sílvio Luís da Costa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Bernardo Maia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tiago Ferreira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Meridiano SC's Josué Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Cunha in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duarte Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Duarte Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcangelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Tepedino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duarte Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Luís da Costa in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Bernardo Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Bernardo Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Arcangelo's Tiago Ferreira got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís da Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cícero Bezerra, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 93rd minute, Duarte Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 played minutes Meridiano SC got a freekick which was hit by Nico Dias. Duarte Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Josué Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meridiano SC's Sílvio Luís da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Meridiano SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
