Sulina's Samuca Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Galvão in the 3rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gravi SC's Breno Félix slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuca Vidal. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. When Filipe Pena came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sulina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Pena couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Gravi SC's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Maranhense came free, but Edson Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Filipe Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Breno Félix's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Samuca Vidal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jorge Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Maranhense in the 39th minute of play forced Gravi SC's goalkeeper Edson Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Félix struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Samuca Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gravi SC. After 42 played minutes Sulina got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Torres. 44 minutes into the match, Sulina's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Galvão came free, but Samuca Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Galvão made a kick off. After 60 played minutes Sulina got a freekick which was hit by Duda Maranhense. 61 minutes into the match, Sulina's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Félix came free, but Samuca Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Gravi SC's Edson Cardozo got control of the ball when Duda Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Jorge Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Breno Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute of the match Jorginho Silva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edson Cardozo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 82 played minutes Gravi SC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Nunes. Jorge Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duda Maranhense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edson Cardozo firmly grabbed it by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Gravi SC's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Pena came free, but Edson Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuca Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Ceresso in the 98th minute of the match.
