The crowd rose to their feet as Itapui SC's Rubens da Mata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tales Magalhães. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. Jânio Veiga scored 1-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Márcio Simões, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Cametá Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Tales Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Álvaro Guimarães. Hamílton da Silveira's late challenge caught a Itapui SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamílton da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Hamílton da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manolo Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tales Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Itapui SC's zone, Raphael Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Simões came out of the goal and Raphael Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Cametá Esporte Clube's Tales Magalhães got control of the ball when Álvaro Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. Márcio Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Amaral in the 30th minute of play. Tales Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Sá in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Manoel Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Cametá Esporte Clube defense, Álvaro Guimarães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tales Magalhães. The Cametá Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tales Magalhães should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Manolo Sá made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Manolo Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapui SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cametá Esporte Clube the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Itapui SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolo Sá to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Cametá Esporte Clube defense, Manolo Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tales Magalhães. The Cametá Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tales Magalhães should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Itapui SC's Márcio Simões got control of the ball when Raphael Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Itapui SC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Leopoldo Arce hit a great ball. Márcio Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Veiga in the 71st minute of play. Raphael Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jânio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Aleandro Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Cametá Esporte Clube's Jânio Veiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Márcio Simões. Márcio Simões yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. After 89 played minutes Cametá Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilson de Mendonça. Itapui SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
