Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 8th minute, Chameleon's Oscar Cosme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gugu Martins. Gugu Martins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Furlan in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umberto Tavares saved Chameleon from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Oscar Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remo Meira, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 20th minute Ramiro Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gugu Martins made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Miguel Santos sent off a good shot on target. Umberto Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Furlan in the 32nd minute of the match. When Ronaldo Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chameleon's protests and gave Ronaldo Cerezo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chameleon getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ronaldo Cerezo hit a great ball. Remo Meira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Umberto Tavares. Chameleon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Raphael Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Raphael Furlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Cosme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gugu Martins had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Paulo Renato Rosado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Ramiro Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Umberto Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Sarmento was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Chameleon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umberto Tavares came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Ramiro Diniz. But to his dismay, Ramiro Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ramiro Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
