Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tião Moreno started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Avaí F.C.'s Afonso Moreira suffered a concussion in the 5th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 6th minute, Arnaldo Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Ipeguari FC's goalkeeper Lino Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Didi Rocha. After a defensive mix-up in Avaí F.C.'s zone, Flavinho Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Salgado came out of the goal and Flavinho Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tião Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Moreno in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Avaí F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Régis da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Salgado having to make a save. After 25 played minutes Avaí F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Alcântara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Moreno in the 26th minute of play forced Avaí F.C.'s goalkeeper Filipe Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Ramiro Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ipeguari FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Flavinho Vinhas hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Ipeguari FC's Régis da Mata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filipe Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tião Moreno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipe Salgado was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Tião Moreno might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tião Moreno ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ipeguari FC booed when Avaí F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Manuel da Cunha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Avaí F.C.'s Filipe Salgado didn't even have to move. Kauã de Queiroz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Oliveira was the one to do the kick off. Ipeguari FC's Régis da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 57 minutes, Tião Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipeguari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kauã de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Ramiro Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, Avaí F.C.'s Filipe Salgado got control of the ball when Régis da Mata tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ipeguari FC's Tião Moreno got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tião Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Filipe Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Régis da Mata was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Ipeguari FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Genílson Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
