Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alessandro Rezende started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Alessandro Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Saguoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Rezende in the 7th minute of play forced Saguoes's goalkeeper Amauri Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorival Branco hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Manfredo Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manfredo Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. When Alessandro Rezende came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Fugida AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Rezende couldn't finish the play. Tarcisio Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tarcisio Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Fugida AD got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Mota. After 26 played minutes, Saguoes's David Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Fábio Recife came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saguoes reached it. Luís Fábio Recife had great luck who in the 28thth minute grab hold of the ball when Dorival Branco from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Amauri Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Garcia in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Manfredo Carioca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fugida AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saguoes the free kick. In the 37th minute, Manfredo Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Amauri Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio Recife made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Enéas Alves sent off a good shot on target. Dorival Branco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fábio Recife having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Dorival Branco made the kick off in the second half. Luís Fábio Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alessandro Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Pontes having to interfere. If Dorival Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amauri Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcisio Mota in the 57th minute of the match. Fugida AD's Afonso Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fiori da Cunha hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Saguoes's Amauri Pontes got control of the ball when Afonso Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Saguoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Amauri Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fugida AD's Afonso Garcia was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 66th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 69th match minute, Saguoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Berger to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Saguoes booed when Fugida AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Dorival Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Alessandro Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Branco in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fábio Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dorival Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fugida AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
