Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nelsinho Koehler started the match with the kick off. Aleandro da Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Perivaldo Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jano Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarany Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleandro da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Laerte Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Só Canelas F.C.'s zone, Laerte Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleandro da Fonseca came out of the goal and Laerte Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 27 played minutes Só Canelas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Koehler. In the 27th minute, Nelsinho Koehler fired away a free kick at goal. It was hit a tad too hard, and went over the crossbar. Aleandro da Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Laerte Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. If Andrézinho da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guarany Futebol Clube's zone, Elias Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos de Sena came out of the goal and Elias Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jano Azevedo to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Fausto Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Só Canelas F.C.'s Nelsinho Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Guarany Futebol Clube's João Carlos de Sena got control of the ball when Fausto Vinhas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Só Canelas F.C. booed when Guarany Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Perivaldo Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarany Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Perivaldo Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleandro da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute of the match, Nelsinho Koehler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Carlos de Sena saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fausto Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos de Sena having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Nelsinho Koehler took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for João Carlos de Sena to make any attempt to save it. 78 minutes into the match, Guarany Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Koehler came free, but João Carlos de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Sílvio Luiz de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Carlos de Sena was a little too slow when Nelsinho Koehler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-2. Nelsinho Koehler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Carlos de Sena having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Só Canelas F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guarany Futebol Clube.
