He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marezinha reached it. In the 13thth minute of the game José Maria Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but huntersFC's Luizão Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th match minute, Marezinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Perez to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, huntersFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarah Bo Hamad came free, but Luizão Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, José Maria Perez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marezinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind huntersFC's goalkeeper Luizão Ceresso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Gilmar Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marezinha booed when huntersFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, huntersFC's Manuel Lira threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilmar Carvalho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. João Vítor Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. André Luís Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gilmar Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. huntersFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renan Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Manuel Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Marezinha were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilmar Carvalho made a kick off. If Renan Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lira having to interfere. Marco da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco da Mata in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Marezinha's João Vítor Rosa got a free kick in the 91st minute. The huntersFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Marezinha to win.
