In the 52nd minute, Amílton Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Imburi's Aloísio Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorival Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amílton Velasco in the 57th minute. Amílton Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílton Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Vasconcelos having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Waldemar Vaz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dorival Vasconcelos, 0-2. Raúl Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ayapua's Egídio Magalhães pulled a muscle in his back after 71 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 71 minutes, Durvalino de Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imburi and the Ayapua players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Durvalino de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amílton Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorival Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Durvalino de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ayapua's zone, Durvalino de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Durvalino de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ayapua fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Imburi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
