ABC Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinduca FC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, ABC Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Laércio Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Pinduca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Romero came free, but Joaquim Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ABC Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Laércio Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pinduca FC's Joaquim Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Romero in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Baltazar Domingues made the kick off in the second half. If Baltazar Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 63 played minutes Laércio Cerezo rounded Pinduca FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. 67 minutes into the match, ABC Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Fernandez came free, but Charles Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Leme having to interfere.
