The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Teteu getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Amadeu Fonseca hit a great ball. Luís Eduardo Quirino was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. Inojosa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 11 minutes, Amadeu Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teteu and the Inojosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amadeu Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Quirino in the 12th minute of play forced Teteu's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Eduardo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18th play minutes Josué Oliveira shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Nuno de Andrade and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredão Almeida in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno de Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredão Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno de Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredão Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fabiano Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zé Augusto Figueiredo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. Edu Guimarães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nuno de Andrade. Inojosa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zé Augusto Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Luiz Fabiano Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Teteu were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Eduardo Quirino was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Fabiano Amaral came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Inojosa's Zé Augusto Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Zé Augusto Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Nuno de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredão Almeida in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Inojosa's Paulo Ceresso got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 62 minutes into the match, Inojosa's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Oliveira came free, but Nuno de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Josué Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nuno de Andrade. The goal made the score 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Teteu's zone, Luís Eduardo Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fabiano Amaral came out of the goal and Luís Eduardo Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fabiano Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Quirino in the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Alfredão Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teteu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Zé Augusto Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto de Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Teteu booed when Inojosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
