After a rather tough play, Seropedica's Ramiro Eger got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jorginho Ceresso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessandro Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Guilherme Maranhense elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luizinho Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Vítor Abraão came out of the goal and Maurinho Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
