The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emílio Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Lira in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Luiz Castro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabiano da Cunha. Luiz Castro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 9 played minutes, Queltes FC.'s João Carlos Pirani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabiano da Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Queltes FC. reached it. After a rather tough play, Queltes FC.'s Clóvis Pitta got a free kick in the 13th minute. Queltes FC.'s Emílio Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Guimarães in the 17th minute of play. Emílio Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Guimarães in the 20th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Jardel Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cordilheira AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Gabriel Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Queltes FC.'s Emílio Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Guimarães in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Tavares in the 33rd minute of play forced Queltes FC.'s goalkeeper Emílio Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jardel Souza fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Queltes FC.'s protests and gave Jardel Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Cordilheira AD's Dedê de Queirós couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Queltes FC.. Cordilheira AD's Tostão Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. With 52 minutes on the clock, Sandrinho Schmidt commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cordilheira AD! The referee gave Queltes FC. a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodolfo Sampaio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cordilheira AD's Fabiano da Cunha. 2-0. After 61 played minutes Queltes FC. got a freekick which was hit by Alan Damião. Emílio Guerra made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Tiago Gabriel Tavares sent off a good shot on target. Tiago Gabriel Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Emílio Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Luiz Eduardo Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tiago Gabriel Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Gabriel Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
