Marcelo Veigas short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Emílio Guerra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 37th minute, Marcelo Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Betinho Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Castro in the 93rd minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
