In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lejeado FC's goalkeeper Celsinho Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Queltes FC.'s Emílio Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Queltes FC. from getting a goal against them. After 28 played minutes Queltes FC. got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Sampaio. After having played for 29 minutes William Campidelis got an excellent opportunity and fired away a shot on goal, but Emílio Guerra was perfectly placed and executed a great save. In the 30th minute, Nelson Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lejeado FC's zone, Luiz Eduardo Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celsinho Paulista came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luiz Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adilson Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Queltes FC. got a freekick which was hit by Alan Damião. Nelson Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Guerra having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nelson Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Guerra was relentless in the 64th minute of the game.
