After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Renato Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botafogo's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juruena F.C's Hermínio Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Lopes in the 12th minute of play. Kauã Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Toledo in the 18th minute. Kauã Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 29th minute, Beto Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes Juruena F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Luz. Geovani Neves, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Juruena F.C's Hermínio Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Lima in the 35th minute of play. Renato Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Ramalho having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson Maranhense made a kick off. Juruena F.C's Hermínio Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Lopes in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Botafogo's Túlio Paes got a free kick in the 57th minute. Kauã Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Maranhense in the 58th minute of the match. Luís Fabiano Lopes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Hermínio Ramalho 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of Juruena F.C booed when Botafogo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kauã Braga having to make a save. Luís Fabiano Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A long shot from Geovani Neves in the 77th minute of play was well struck, but Hermínio Ramalho made a really good save at the right post. After 87 minutes, Egídio Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juruena F.C and the Botafogo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 93 minutes into the match, Botafogo's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Maranhense came free, but Kauã Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Nilson Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Hermínio Ramalho made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Botafogo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Juruena F.C.
