When Walmir Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Atlético Estados's protests and gave Walmir Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. Walmir Tepedino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Nelsinho Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmir Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, Leão Dourado Futebol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Santos to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Real Atlético Estados's Cícero Cosme got control of the ball when Cássio Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Leão Dourado Futebol Club's zone, Walmir Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel de Senna came out of the goal and Walmir Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Antunes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Leão Dourado Futebol Club's Samuel de Senna. Samuel de Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

52 minutes into the match, Leão Dourado Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Antunes came free, but Samuel de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Paulo Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cícero Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Antunes in the 76th minute of the match. Cícero Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Luís Paulo Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Cícero Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmir Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Samuel de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Real Atlético Estados left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leão Dourado Futebol Club.
