Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sidney Simão made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute Sidney Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th match minute, Time Em Manutenção was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Sidney Simão hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes, Neropolis's Manfredo das Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dênis Paraibano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Neropolis reached it. After 17 played minutes Neropolis got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Saldanha. José Augusto Amaral struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Amílton Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Time Em Manutenção. Sidney Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dênis Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dênis Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Simão in the 28th minute of play. Frédson Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Paraibano having to interfere. Andrézinho Catarinense was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, one of Neropolis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Neropolis. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Júlio Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Time Em Manutenção's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neropolis's Frédson Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Frédson Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Neropolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédson Saldanha couldn't finish the play. Frédson Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dênis Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Time Em Manutenção's zone, Reginaldo Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Paraibano came out of the goal and Reginaldo Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Saldanha made a kick off. Genílson da Fonseca, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Amauri Toscano hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 68th match minute, Time Em Manutenção was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dênis Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dênis Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frédson Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Wilson Reis's late challenge caught a Neropolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Reis helped the player get up and apologised. Wilson Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Genílson da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
