Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Gerson de Alcântara. In the 4th minute, Frédson Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caio Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Amílton Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reginaldo Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Virgílio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgílio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Meireles in the 26th minute of play forced Neropolis's goalkeeper Amílton Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aílton Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neropolis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrézinho Catarinense in the 32nd minute. The corner led Neropolis's Andrézinho Catarinense to fire away a dangerous shot which Virgílio Porto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Frédson Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Porto having to interfere. Sidney Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Porto having to interfere. Frédson Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caio Meireles to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match, Aílton Tepedino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amílton Prestes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Atlético Mineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Simão came free, but Virgílio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Neropolis's goalkeeper Amílton Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Tepedino. Aílton Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgílio Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Simão went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sidney Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neropolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgílio Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sidney Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Porto came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Neropolis's Sidney Simão. But to his dismay, Sidney Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Amauri Toscano hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Frédson Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
