In the 10th match minute, Pertile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match Renatinho de Lara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Melo skillfully saved the ball. If Luís Fernando Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Daniel Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Severo in the 28th minute of play forced Tiros's goalkeeper Dionísio Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Dionísio Bueno made a huge save. The supporters of Tiros booed when Pertile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pertile's zone, Luís Fernando Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Melo came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Luís Fernando Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. Severino Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Nogueira in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Nogueira in the 55th minute of play forced Pertile's goalkeeper Severino Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes, Romário Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pertile and the Tiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Pertile got a freekick which was hit by Romário Branco. 59 minutes into the match, Tiros's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Pitta came free, but Dionísio Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Ronaldinho Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dionísio Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Severo in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Tiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Moura to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Moura's late challenge caught a Pertile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Moura helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionísio Bueno having to interfere. Tiros's Dionísio Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Pitta in the 93rd minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
