If Célio de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Rafa dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvério Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Cesinha Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Jorginho Tande in the 31st minute really tested Nilmar do Vale's skills. Silvério Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafa dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jeferson Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Galatassarrafo F. C's Nilmar do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa dos Santos in the 51st minute of play. Silvério Mumbach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto Sarmento in the 53rd minute of play.
