Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Arthur Correia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With 8 minutes on the clock, João Francisco Tasso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sodrelandia! Sodrelandia:s Arthur Correia showed great skill when he stopped Kauan de Sousa:s penalty. 10 minutes into the match, Kauan de Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arthur Correia. Sodrelandia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan de Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Douglas Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Douglas Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Monte Azul Crows getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Wilton Simões hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sodrelandia's Douglas Rodrigues tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Monte Azul Crows got a freekick which was hit by Jânio de Toledo. In the 25thth minute of the game Douglas Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monte Azul Crows's Jonathan Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Douglas Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Branco was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Jonathan Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Rodrigues in the 31st minute of the match. Jonathan Branco came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sodrelandia's Douglas Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Douglas Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 43rd match minute, Monte Azul Crows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monte Azul Crows's goalkeeper Jonathan Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Rodrigues to strike the kick off in the second half. If Eusébio Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Mendonça hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Eusébio Severo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Castro in the 65th minute of play forced Sodrelandia's goalkeeper Arthur Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Douglas Rodrigues took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jonathan Branco to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Douglas Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Branco having to interfere. Eusébio Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sodrelandia. Jonathan Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Rodrigues in the 94th minute of play. Douglas Rodriguess short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Jonathan Branco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Sodrelandia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monte Azul Crows.
