Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edmundo Nunes kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Rosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MONTALVAO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave são paulo fc the free kick. Pedro Luís Rosa hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in MONTALVAO FC's zone, Edmundo Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlinhos Palmeira came out of the goal and Edmundo Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Olívio Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MONTALVAO FC. Artur Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Olívio Barreto made a huge save. After 12 played minutes MONTALVAO FC got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Vaz. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Artur Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTALVAO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olívio Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Olívio Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, são paulo fc's Christiano Queiroz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlinhos Palmeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Eduardo Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Barreto having to interfere. A hard shot 41 in the game by Artur Mesquita from a close distance when the talented Olívio Barreto managed to make a qualified save. são paulo fc's players were relieved. Oswaldo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Barreto having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Mesquita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 68th match minute, MONTALVAO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes, MONTALVAO FC's Oséas Vaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olívio Barreto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MONTALVAO FC reached it. Artur Mesquita took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olívio Barreto. Olívio Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 79 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Rosa notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of são paulo fc's Olívio Barreto. Olívio Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olívio Barreto came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by MONTALVAO FC's Artur Mesquita. But to his dismay, Artur Mesquita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Olívio Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Mesquita in the 88th minute of the match. Olívio Barreto came out of the goal and Oswaldo Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MONTALVAO FC fully deserved thier win.
