After 7 played minutes Samambaia got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Schmidt. Pedro Paulo Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sílvio Luiz Paiva went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Edson Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Paulo Vieira was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Luís Guilherme Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sílvio Luiz Paiva made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 22ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Pedro Paulo Vieira would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Samambaia's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Pontes came free, but Pedro Paulo Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Eduardo de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Betinho Schmidt went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz Paiva notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Samambaia's Pedro Paulo Vieira. Pedro Paulo Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Pedro Paulo Vieira managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Playboy FC's Sílvio Luiz Paiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Playboy FC's Luiz Eduardo de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Valle in the 37th minute of play. Luiz Eduardo de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Samambaia's Betinho Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Eduardo de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Guilherme Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Eduardo de Moraes having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edson Pontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Betinho Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Samambaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Schmidt couldn't finish the play. Luís Guilherme Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betinho Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edson Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Paulo Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Sílvio Luiz Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Vieira having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Giovani Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Eduardo de Moraes was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Jardel Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artur Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Playboy FC's Sílvio Luiz Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Schmidt in the 83rd minute of play forced Playboy FC's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes Playboy FC got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Diniz. Luiz Eduardo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Guilherme Furtado in the 89th minute. Samambaia's Pedro Paulo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Paiva in the 91st minute of play. Sílvio Luiz Paiva took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Paulo Vieira. Pedro Paulo Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Playboy FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Samambaia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
