Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Potiguara SS's Dieguinho Pontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samambaia's Pedro Paulo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Trigo in the 4th minute of play. Pedro Paulo Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Tinoco in the 6th minute of play. Bruno Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pedro Paulo Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani Valle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Breno Ribeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Giovani Valle slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. After 15 minutes, Dário de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samambaia and the Potiguara SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dário de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Dieguinho Pontes took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Paulo Vieira. Pedro Paulo Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pedro Paulo Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Potiguara SS getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Senna hit a great ball. Pedro Paulo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieguinho Pontes in the 23rd minute of the match. Breno Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Valle in the 31st minute of the match. Giovani Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Ribeiro having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Potiguara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Schmidt came free, but Breno Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Samambaia booed when Potiguara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joélson Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball.

In the 55th minute, Joélson Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Paulo Vieira made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Váldson Trigo sent off a good shot on target. After 64 minutes of play, Samambaia's Luís Guilherme Furtado made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breno Ribeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Paulo Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Pontes in the 73rd minute of play. Pedro Paulo Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Váldson Trigo went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Váldson Trigo scored 2-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo Vieira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 84 minutes, Frank Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samambaia and the Potiguara SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Samambaia getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Frank Fontes hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Joélson Pires made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Paulo Vieira. Samambaia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Betinho Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Ribeiro having to interfere. Potiguara SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
