The supporters of Lantecx booed when Balalu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Caetano Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sivert Ugla in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Lantecx got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Fonseca. If Nico Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio de Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erasmo Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Simão's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 43 minutes of play, Balalu SC's Eduardo Simão made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erasmo Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sivert Ugla in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Simão was the one to do the kick off. When Virgílio Britto fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lantecx's protests and gave Virgílio Britto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Lantecx's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nestor Penha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Virgílio Britto took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúcio de Moraes. Lúcio de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 67th minute Sivert Ugla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Simãos short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Erasmo Fernandez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 75th minute, Lantecx's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nestor Penha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eduardo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Erasmo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nestor Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Eduardo Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balalu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nestor Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87thth minute of the game Eduardo Simão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lantecx's Erasmo Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erasmo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balalu SC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
