Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Osvaldo Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Matorin scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráuzio Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olavo Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Bueno in the 9th minute of play. After 16 played minutes, A.C Vitória's Sílvio Trancoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dráuzio Coelho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.C Vitória reached it. Dráuzio Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Matorin in the 20th minute of play. A.C Vitória's Olavo Xavier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save A.C Vitória from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Osvaldo Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Arósio in the 34th minute of play forced Barranca AD's goalkeeper Dráuzio Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Erik Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C Vitória's goalkeeper Olavo Xavier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Barranca AD's Dráuzio Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Matorin in the 43rd minute of play. Ernesto Bueno struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Olavo Xavier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barranca AD. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Ernesto Bueno made the kick off in the second half. A.C Vitória's Olavo Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Paraibano in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Osvaldo Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder Botelho hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A.C Vitória's Olavo Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Paraibano in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Dino Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.C Vitória's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barranca AD the free kick. In the 69th minute, Dino Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Erik Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the A.C Vitória fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Arósio couldn't finish the play. Dráuzio Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Matorin in the 76th minute of play. Osvaldo Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Coelho having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barranca AD's zone, Osvaldo Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Coelho came out of the goal and Osvaldo Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched A.C Vitória eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
