Breaking Benjamin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Schmidt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Guarakessaba SC's José Vítor Oliveira in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Henrique Zilles kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Breaking Benjamin's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Oliveira came free, but Betinho Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breaking Benjamin's Betinho Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Oliveira in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Breaking Benjamin's zone, Henrique Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Guedes came out of the goal and Henrique Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Betinho Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Zé Pedro Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If José Vítor Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Henrique Zilles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ademir Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Guarakessaba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Guerra couldn't finish the play. Betinho Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Oliveira in the 32nd minute of the match. Breaking Benjamin's Zé Quadros quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ernesto Cordeiro, made in the 36th minute of the game. Gonçalo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Betinho Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Oliveira in the 44th minute of the match. Ademir Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Breaking Benjamin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when José Vítor Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Betinho Guedes, making the score, 0-2. After 59 played minutes Guarakessaba SC got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Pombal. Betinho Guedes made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Henrique Schmidt sent off a good shot on target. Rodriguinho Porto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betinho Guedes came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodriguinho Porto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 65th minute. Betinho Guedes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Vítor Oliveira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 70 minute of play. Zé Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breaking Benjamin's goalkeeper Betinho Guedes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Breaking Benjamin's Zé Quadros managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ernesto Cordeiro in the 78 minute of the game. Betinho Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Oliveira in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, José Vítor Oliveira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Betinho Guedes, 1-5. Betinho Guedes was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and José Vítor Oliveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Vítor Oliveira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Oliveira in the 93rd minute of play forced Breaking Benjamin's goalkeeper Betinho Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Rodriguinho Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Oliveira in the 97th minute of the match. The Breaking Benjamin manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Guarakessaba SC to win.
