Edson Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristóvão Queirós having to make a save. If Edson Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Quadros in the 15th minute of play forced C.R. Legião's goalkeeper Cristóvão Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dito Berger fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Selefogo's protests and gave Dito Berger a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Selefogo got a freekick which was hit by Dito Berger. In the 18th minute, Hamílton de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Faustão Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gustavo Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Quintal in the 22nd minute of the match. If Edson Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Fernandes during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Augusto Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fernando Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Dito Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cristóvão Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes Selefogo got a freekick which was hit by Dito Berger. Vinícius da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Gustavo Breckenfeld. Selefogo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 65th minute, Olívio Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 68th minute, Hamílton de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.R. Legião's Zé Augusto Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C.R. Legião's Vinícius da Mata got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Olívio Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Legião fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Queirós should have stopped the shot. Edson Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Queirós having to interfere. Edson Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cristóvão Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Olívio Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Quadros in the 98th minute of play. Selefogo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
