The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Francisco Meireles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Francisco Meireles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Simão Loyola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24th match minute, Rosenrot FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Meireles to maneuver through the defense. In the 28thth minute of the game Edgar Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosenrot FC's Kauã de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th match minute, Flame FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Loyola having to interfere. Oséias de Toledo's late challenge caught a Rosenrot FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséias de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rosenrot FC booed when Flame FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Furtado took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kauã de Barros. Kauã de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Francisco Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Francisco Meireles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Francisco Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Simão Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edgar Furtado made the kick off in the second half. Abel Lira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Loyola having to make a save. Rosenrot FC's Francisco Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto dos Santos came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kauã de Barros could save by the left post. Francisco Meireles struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Simão Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosenrot FC. Edgar Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Kauã de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67thth minute of the game Edgar Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosenrot FC's Kauã de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Edgar Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã de Barros having to interfere. Kauã de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Furtado in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, David Gerber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kauã de Barros, 0-2. The Flame FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flame FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
