With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Sanches in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrício Porto saved Chelsea from getting behind. The supporters of Pinare FC booed when Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chelsea's Fabrício Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Sanches in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Paranaense to make the kick off. Luiz Sanchess short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Fabrício Porto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luiz Sanches's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabrício Porto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fabrício Porto was a little too slow when Dieguinho Soeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-5. Pinare FC's Vladimir Jacinto suffered a concussion in the 96th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field.
