When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Dadá da Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Andrézinho Netto to make any attempt to save it. César Ferraz came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andrézinho Netto could save by the left post. Marcos Cardozo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Andrézinho Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Š¢øяpiøทŠ's zone, Chico Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Corrêa came out of the goal and Chico Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Maracajau AD's Chico Montenegro in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá da Fonseca in the 44th minute of play forced Maracajau AD's goalkeeper Andrézinho Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alexsandro Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexsandro Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Corrêa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Dino Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracajau AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Maracajau AD's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Dionísio came free, but Andrézinho Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Maracajau AD's protests and gave Hermínio de Brito a yellow card for diving instead. Hermínio de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
